Director Of Engineering

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Engineering to lead our engineering team and drive the development of cutting-edge solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of successfully managing complex engineering projects. As the Director of Engineering at Perfios, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our product strategy and ensuring the successful execution of engineering initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership:
• Develop and implement the engineering strategy in alignment with the companys overall business goals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and operations, to define and prioritize engineering initiatives.
• Team Management:
• Lead, mentor, and inspire a diverse team of engineers, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation.
• Drive recruitment, retention, and professional development strategies to build a high-performing engineering organization.
• Technical Oversight:
• Ensure the architecture, design, and development of software solutions meet the highest standards of quality, security, and scalability.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive continuous improvement within the engineering function.
• Project Management:
• Oversee the execution of multiple engineering projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure engineering productivity, quality, and team performance.
• Stakeholder Collaboration:
• Work closely with senior leadership and other stakeholders to align engineering priorities with business objectives.
• Communicate engineering vision, challenges, and outcomes effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 14+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Must have experience in building and scaling transaction heavy systems-for e.g payments system preferably from 0-1 and 1-100.
• Highly preferred atleast 10+ years of experience in delivering Fintech engineering platforms or initiatives with clear business scale.
• Proven experience in managing large-scale engineering projects and leading cross-functional teams.
• Strong technical background with expertise in software development methodologies, architecture design, and DevOps practices.
• Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset.
• Prior experience in fintech or financial services is a plus.
