Network Engineer

About Position:

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to manage and enhance data centre and cloud networking environments. The role involves ensuring high availability, scalability, and security of infrastructure while supporting hybrid cloud integrations and automation initiatives.

What Youll Do:

• Oversee and maintain data centre infrastructure, including network switches and ESXi hosts
• Provide engineering support for data centre and AWS cloud networking
• Execute patching and updates of physical and virtual infrastructure in line with security and compliance standards
• Collaborate with DevOps and Customer Support teams to improve system resilience and reliability
• Enhance patching efficiency through standardised and automated processes
• Design and support secure, scalable AWS networking architectures
• Enable hybrid networking solutions for seamless data transfer and cost optimisation
• 
  Participate in Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity (BCP) testing activities
• Ensure high availability through proactive monitoring and engineering best practices
• Escalate and track unresolved issues for timely resolution and governance visibility
• Provide compliance evidence for audits including patch reports, configuration baselines, and DR records
• Drive infrastructure improvements to enhance scalability, reduce cost, and increase resilience

Expertise Youll Bring:

• Strong experience in routing and switching using NX-OS and Cisco IOS platforms
• Hands-on expertise with firewall technologies including Junos and Cisco firewalls
• Solid knowledge of data centre networking concepts and infrastructure management
• Experience with AWS networking (VPC, subnets, routing, security groups, load balancers)
• Proficiency in Python scripting for automation and network management
• Exposure to network automation tools and frameworks is an added advantage
• Experience in hybrid cloud networking and integration strategies
• Understanding of security, compliance, and patch management best practices
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to handle complex network issues
• Familiarity with DR/BCP processes and infrastructure resilience practices
• Ability to work collaboratively across teams and support production environments
