Quality Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Dimensional inspection of precision machined parts, Castings and fabricated parts.
• Develop, modify and execute inspection quality control plans for Motor components.
• Record keeping of inspection and testing as per procedure.
• Provide support in Root Cause Analysis and Corrective actions on Quality issues at incoming stage of Motor manufacturing.
• Evaluate non-conformities, failures and identify cause and take appropriate corrective actions as may be required at in-house.
• Conduct process audits and process validations to ensure required quality standards are achieved.
• Develop and implement PPAP and SPC plans and test methods to qualify new components belongs to winding per requirement.
• Reporting of Operational Excellence such as internal rework/rejections.

Preferred candidate profile

• Rotating machines background in similar industry. Preferably in Low Voltage Motors.
• Precision Measuring Instruments Knowledge
• CMM knowledge is preferred.
• Familiar with 7QC Tools.
• Knowledge of QMS ISO 9001

• Bachelor degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 4 years of relevant functional experience.
• Hands on with Measurement Techniques/Tooling & Jig qualifications/Process Qualifications/PPAP/SPC/ APQP
• Hands on in Problem Solving/8D Methodology/ Production Technologies/Process Improvements PFMEA/Kaizen/Poka- yoke

Familiar with EMS ISO 14001 and OH&S ISO 45001
