- Prepare and review Canadian federal and provincial income tax returns for corporations, partnerships, and trusts.
- Conduct tax research and analysis to ensure compliance with Canadian tax laws.
- Assist with tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities.
- Prepare working papers and maintain accurate documentation.
- Communicate with clients and tax authorities to gather information and resolve issues.
- Support senior team members on tax planning and consulting projects.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in Canadian tax laws and regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of tax provisions for financial reporting purposes.
- Identify tax planning opportunities and assist in the implementation of tax strategies.
- Contribute to the development of tax policies and procedures.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of Canadian federal and provincial income tax laws.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and tax preparation software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
- Experience with tax research databases (e.g., Taxnet Pro) is an asset.
