Job Description

What role will you play in the team?

As a US Indirect Tax Compliance Analyst, your role is to ensure compliance with indirect tax laws across various states. You will be responsible for preparing and filing sales and use tax returns, researching tax issues, and maintaining accurate records. You will be an essential resource for maintaining our client's compliance with state and local tax regulations.

What you will do

You will prepare and file US sales and use tax returns, analyze tax data, and conduct research on tax laws and regulations. Your tasks include data entry, report preparation, and ensuring compliance with indirect tax regulations. You will also participate in training sessions and contribute to the development of tax solutions.

Key Responsibility

  • Prepare and file US sales and use tax returns.
  • Analyze tax data and financial statements.
  • Conduct research on US indirect tax laws and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and organized tax records.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Participate in client meetings and discussions.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for clients.
  • Stay updated on changes in US indirect tax laws and regulations.
  • Adhere to firm policies and professional standards.
  • Support senior tax professionals in complex tax matters.

Required Qualification and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 0-1 year of experience in US indirect taxation.
  • Knowledge of US sales and use tax laws and regulations.
  • Familiarity with tax preparation software (e.g., Vertex, Avalara).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office applications.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
