Financial Controller - FinTech/WealthTech

Role Overview :
As a Financial Controller in Bangalore, you will be at the heart of our financial operations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting. Your day-to-day will involve overseeing accounting procedures, managing internal controls, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. You will collaborate closely with various stakeholders, including the finance team, auditors, and senior management, providing them with timely and insightful financial information. Your work will directly impact the company's financial health, enabling informed decision-making and driving sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities :
- Oversee the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness for internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain a robust internal control framework to safeguard company assets, mitigate financial risks, and ensure compliance with policies and procedures for all departments.

- Manage the company's tax planning and compliance activities, including the preparation and filing of tax returns, ensuring adherence to all applicable tax laws and regulations to minimize tax liabilities.
- Coordinate and manage internal and external audits, ensuring the provision of accurate and complete information to auditors, and implementing audit recommendations to improve financial processes and controls.
- Prepare and analyze management information system (MIS) reports, providing insightful financial data and analysis to support decision-making by senior management and other stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and accounting standards, staying abreast of changes in regulations and implementing necessary updates to policies and procedures to maintain compliance.
- Manage and oversee the implementation and maintenance of the SAP FICO module, ensuring its effective utilization for financial accounting, controlling, and reporting purposes to streamline financial processes.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior management, auditors, and tax advisors, providing them with timely and accurate financial information and insights to support their decision-making.

- Demonstrated ability to prepare and analyze financial statements, manage internal controls, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Proven expertise in taxation, audit, and accounting principles, with a strong understanding of relevant laws and regulations.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems, particularly SAP FICO, including configuration, implementation, and maintenance.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Chartered Accountant (CA) or MBA in Finance is preferred.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
