This is a hands-on role for someone with around four years of infrastructure experience who wants to deepen their skills in virtualization, automation and hybrid cloud.

  • ·       Handle VM lifecycle tasks: provisioning, cloning, templates, snapshots, migrations, resource changes and decommissioning.
  • ·       Troubleshoot common issues across ESXi hosts, HA/DRS clusters, vSphere networking (vSwitch/vDS, VLANs) and storage (SAN/NAS).
  • ·       Carry out ESXi and vCenter patching, upgrades, firmware updates and certificate renewals under senior guidance.
  • ·       Support Windows and Linux server administration, including builds, patching and basic performance troubleshooting.
  • ·       Write and maintain PowerCLI/PowerShell scripts to automate routine tasks such as health checks, inventory and reporting.
  • ·       Support vulnerability remediation and compliance activities for the virtual infrastructure.
  • ·       Support Cisco UCS / Intersight hardware operations and lifecycle activities.
  • ·       Create and update documentation, including SOPs, runbooks and knowledge base articles.
  • ·       Participate in the on-call rotation and occasional after-hours maintenance windows.
  • ·       Collaborate with storage, networking, security and application teams to deliver reliable services to end users.

Required Skills

  • ·       Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere (vCenter, ESXi, HA, DRS and vMotion).
  • ·       PowerCLI and/or PowerShell scripting for automation and reporting.
  • ·       Windows Server and Linux (RHEL or similar) administration.
  • ·       Understanding of networking fundamentals (VLANs, Layer 2/3, server NIC configuration).
