As an HR Admin– Senior Associate, you will play a pivotal role in managing the people lifecycle and handling day-to-day operational tasks related to employee management. This includes activities such as onboarding, offboarding, payroll and benefits administration, and compliance with labor laws. Within our Managed Services practice, you will be a primary HR point of contact, resolving and escalating inquiries in line with HR protocols and guidelines.

As a Senior Associate, you will focus on building meaningful client connections and learning how to manage and inspire others. You will navigate increasingly complex situations, growing your personal brand and deepening your technical skills. You are expected to anticipate the needs of your teams and clients, delivering quality solutions. Embracing increased ambiguity, you will use these moments as opportunities to grow.

In this role at PwC Acceleration Center India, you will support HR processes and systems to efficiently support our workforce, becoming part of a team of problem solvers that help address complex business issues from strategy to execution.

Responsibilities

- Managing employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, offboarding, and benefits administration
- Coordinating and resolving employee inquiries in alignment with HR protocols
- Administering payroll and maintaining accurate employee records
- Supporting compliance with labor laws and regulations through diligent documentation
- Utilizing HR software to streamline HR service delivery and shared services
- Facilitating employee engagement strategies and managing employee relations
- Implementing process improvements to enhance HR operations efficiency
- Analyzing HR metrics to inform strategic decision-making and recommendations
- Collaborating with teams to address complex business issues from strategy to execution
- Upholding professional and technical standards in all HR activities

What You Must Have

- At least a Bachelor's degree
- At least 4 years of experience
- Oral and written proficiency in English required

Key responsibilities

Case execution — complex and exception-prone work

  • Process high-complexity and non-standard onboarding cases including multi-country hires, transfers with cross-border implications, re-hires, cases with immigration or work authorisation dependencies, and Phase 2 categories such as university, internship and research hiring.
  • Initiate and track background checks, immigration and visa assessments, medical checks and relocation with third-party partners. Confirm clearances and progress cases against service level clocks.
  • Complete right-to-work and I-9 verification steps per country requirement, distinguishing automated from manual jurisdictions.
  • Generate and issue employment agreements and contracts accurately against the correct country template and offer terms.
  • Execute system-of-record transactions with precision, including position and PCN checks, re-hire validation, New Hire Data Review, Manage Pending Hire, Employee Central record flip, Record Center uploads and payroll input for in-scope countries.
  • Prepare start date options, coordinate proposal and confirmation with candidate and hiring manager, and finalise in system within the service level window with zero backdated start dates.

Quality, subject matter expertise and coaching

  • Perform maker-checker review and quality audits on Associate output. Provide corrective feedback and log error trends.
  • Serve as the go-to process expert on shift for country-specific rules, system behaviour and procedural ambiguity.
  • Support onboarding, training and certification of new Associates, and run refresher sessions when process changes land.
  • Maintain desktop procedures, job aids and country matrices. Flag gaps and draft updates for Manager approval.

Coordination and communication

  • Draft and send candidate, hiring manager and partner communications to a high standard of clarity and professionalism.
  • Manage the third-party partner interface, chasing turnaround, resolving data queries and escalating delays.
  • Prepare escalation and exception packs with complete context so that decision-makers can act without follow-up questions.
  • Complete structured shift handovers covering open cases, risks and pending actions.

Reporting and improvement

  • Track and report individual and pod-level service level performance, case ageing and pending volumes.
  • Identify repetitive manual steps that are automation candidates and support testing and validation of new workflows or agents.

Candidate profile

  • 4 to 7 years of experience in HR operations, onboarding, HR shared services, employee lifecycle administration or global mobility support.
  • Hands-on processing experience across the pre-hire and onboarding lifecycle in a multi-country environment.
  • Working knowledge of at least one major HCM or HRIS platform and a CRM or case management tool.
  • Demonstrated accuracy on compliance-sensitive transactions, with strong attention to detail and documentation discipline.
  • Ability to manage a personal case queue against tight, hour-based service levels while supporting junior team members.
  • Excellent written English. Candidate and stakeholder communications are drafted independently at this level.
  • Sound judgement on when to resolve a case and when to escalate it.
  • Comfortable working from the Bangalore office five days a week and rotating across shifts including nights.

Preferred

  • Workday HCM familiarity will be an added advantage, including Workday Onboarding, Recruiting or HCM Core.
  • SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central experience.
  • Exposure to Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Power Apps-based workflows.
  • Country-specific onboarding compliance knowledge for high-volume geographies such as the United States, India, United Kingdom, Ireland, Canada, Australia or Germany.
  • Prior experience in a knowledge transfer or process documentation role.
  • MBA or PGDM in Human Resources or an equivalent qualification.
