& Summary: A career in Office of General Counsel, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to be a part of the Firms legal department by providing dedicated legal and Company Secretarial support in the areas of LLP compliances conducting meetings, counselling, and corporate, commercial laws. Youll play an important part in all aspects of regulatory proceedings involving the Firm and its personnel by supporting on regulatory issues, advising the Firm on matters relating to its operations, supporting the Firms client contracting function, and advising on matters related to Corporate Laws including on Companies Act, Securities Laws, Competition Laws and other related laws.
The Legal Manager will play a pivotal role within the Office of the General Counsel, primarily focusing on managing compliances, company law issues, regulatory issues, drafting legal documents, conducting legal research, performing factual analysis, and developing strategic legal approaches. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Compliances
Corporate Secretarial Compliances- LLP Compliances, Conducting Meetings, preparing minutes, Filing returns. Keeping an eye on recent regulatory developments and updating the various leadership team on this in various meetings.
Legal Drafting and Litigation:
Draft, review, and revise a variety of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and settlement agreements. Keeping updated on orders and other litigations pertaining to Firm and keeping the leadership team updated on this.
Ensure all legal documents are accurate, comprehensive, and comply with applicable laws and regulations.
Legal Research:
Conduct thorough legal research on various issues, including case law, statutes, regulations, and legal precedents.
Provide well-reasoned legal opinions and memoranda to support decision-making processes.
Factual Analysis and Strategy Making:
Analyze factual information and evidence to support legal arguments and case strategies.
Develop and implement effective legal strategies to achieve favorable outcomes in litigation and other legal matters.
Contractual Drafting and Review:
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to protect the organizations interests.
Ensure all contracts comply with legal requirements and organizational policies.
Compliance and Risk Management:
Assist in identifying and mitigating legal risks associated with the organizations operations.
Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with various departments to provide legal support and guidance on a wide range of issues.
Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, clients, and regulatory authorities.
