General Summary
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly dynamic leader to partner with technical Sales teams as a subject matter expert in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/ML) to differentiate Qualcomm’s Cloud solutions to our customers and leading Solutions engineering team in Abu Dhabi. This leadership position provides an opportunity to use your expertise and presentation skills to engage with customers to understand their business and technical requirements, and present practical and useful solutions on Qualcomm’s Cloud solutions.

You will have excellent technical, communication and organizational skills. You will partner with internal engineering stakeholders to improve products and build solutions, optimizing for results when in production and identifying innovative ways to multiply your impact and the impact of the team. The priorities for the role include:

• Provide regional leadership for customer solution engineering, business development, strategy, planning and execution of the solutions team engagements in the region
• Understand customer’s needs and strategies and develop new services and opportunities for increasing the engagement for the solutions team
• Collaborate effectively with Qualcomm’s business and product management leads in the region to understand Qualcomm’s regional and global priories and ensure team engagements are aligned with those priorities
• Provide technical and business leadership to the UAE AI and Solutions Innovation Hub
  

What are we looking for?
We are looking for highly motivated individual who is excited by the prospect of working on cutting-edge Cloud/AI technologies/evolutions, has high willingness to learn new things, ability to innovate and has good communication skills, ability to coordinate and work across multiple Qualcomm teams.

• 15+ years of relevant industry experience in telecommunications, networking, cloud infrastructure
• Experience building and operationalizing machine learning models and system level solutions for AI/ML workloads with a special focus on GenAI
• Strong knowledge of Qualcomm HW platforms including dedicated AI accelerators
• Experience in delivering technical presentations, leading discovery and planning sessions that are aligned jointly with the customer with defined scope and success criteria.
• Experience in developing new services and engaging customers
• The ideal candidate will have excellent executive presence and well-developed market leadership skills, with a proven track record of establishing executive level relationships with wireless/telecommunications carriers.
• He/she would have the entrepreneurial drive to ensure that the business enjoys superior growth rates by expanding the customer base and capturing new business opportunities.
• He/she must have regional/global leadership exposure
• Preferred Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering, a business management degree is desirable

  Communications – The ability to communicate effectively across a variety of mediums. This includes strong writing skills, ability to create compelling PowerPoint presentations and executive level and public speaking skills.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 8+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.
  

OR
Masters degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 7+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 6+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.

• 4+ years of experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
• 4+ years of experience with debugging techniques.
