Junior Accountant

JUNIOR ACCOUNTANT - DUBAI SOUTHWe have been retained by an International client, specialising in providing catering services to the offshore oil and gas market segment in the Middle East, Southeast Asia, West Africa and the North Sea. Their Dubai office is seeking to employ a Junior Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis and grow within the company. The Junior Accountant will provide support to the finance department in accordance with the standard company policies and procedures and report to the Senior AccountantA bit about the role:

• Provide comprehensive support to the Senior Accountant and Finance Manager in managing both onshore and offshore payroll processes.
• Review driver timesheets to verify overtime hours and cash reimbursements for accuracy and compliance.
• Assist in end-to-end payroll processing, including verifying employee bank details and distributing monthly payslips across multiple locations.
• Support the Senior Accountant with the preparation and resolution of monthly payroll queries received from various locations.
• Responsible for completing accurate monthly bank reconciliations for all bank accounts across the region.
  
• Reconcile Petty cash and PRO Cash book
• Accounts receivable and accounts payable duties
• Administrative and office support

Requirements:

• Minimum 2-3 years working experience in Accounting and Operations.
• Fluent in written and verbal English.
• Previous background working in either a catering company in region or an offshore marine company.

• Computer & numerically literate, with software expertise in Microsoft excel and Word.
• Self-motivated, but ability to work as part of a small team, being flexible in work approach and working to support the team.
• Confident and where necessary assertive manner that can deliver to client needs whilst actively manging key suppliers.

Salary package: AED6000 - 7000 + insurance and performance-based incentives
