Looking For Manager/Senior Manager Actuarial - Special Projects

Role & responsibilities -

• IFRS 17 Implementation:
• Lead data preparation and integration for IFRS 17 compliance
• Interpret the IFRS 17 standard and propose methodology to implement the standards ensuring robust, transparent and compliant approaches to financial reporting
• Design actuarial models and reporting tools tailored to IFRS 17
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including finance, IT and reinsurance, etc. to ensure seamless integration

• Identify opportunities to improve and automate actuarial processes and enhancing analytical workflows
• Undertake complex, analytical projects that address specific needs of the team. Utilise actuarial analytics to apply advanced techniques and provide actionable insights and recommendations
• Develop and refine pricing models for insurance products considering market conditions, competition, and regulatory requirements
• Should remain up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks

Preferred candidate profile -

• The candidate is having an experience of 4 6 years in GI company or GI consulting preferably in reserving and/or IFRS 17.
• The role involves regular interaction with the senior departmental colleagues as well as with the top management
• The candidate has preferably progressed well with Actuarial Examinations and is well focused on the route to qualification
• The candidate should have strong analytical skills with the ability to handle complex data and provide strategic insights
• A proactive approach to process improvement and automation with a passion for leveraging technology
• Knowledge of VBA, SAS and Python would be an added advantage
• Focused on timelines and ability to plan suitably in achieving the project milestones given the timelines and resources.
