Role Description The Director of Sales and Marketing will lead the overall sales and marketing strategy for the hotel in Amritsar, driving revenue growth, market share, and brand visibility. This full-time, on-site role oversees the development and execution of sales plans, marketing campaigns, and partnerships to attract corporate, leisure, group, and MICE business. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing and coaching the sales and marketing team, setting performance targets, analyzing market trends and competitors, and optimizing pricing and distribution channels in alignment with IHG brand standards. The role also collaborates closely with the General Manager and other department leaders to ensure cohesive commercial strategies, high-quality guest experiences, and effective use of digital and offline marketing channels. The Director will represent the hotel in key industry events and maintain strong relationships with travel trade, corporate clients, and local stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in hotel or hospitality sales and marketing leadership, with a strong track record of achieving revenue and market share targets.
• Expertise in developing and implementing sales strategies, account management plans, and business development initiatives.
• Strong marketing skills, including brand positioning, digital marketing, campaign management, and analytics-driven decision-making.
• Experience with revenue management principles, demand forecasting, and working with distribution and booking channels.
• Ability to lead, coach, and motivate diverse teams; strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities, with strong command of written and spoken English; knowledge of local languages is an advantage.
• Familiarity with hotel sales systems, CRM tools, and marketing platforms; proficiency in MS Office and related software.
• Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field; advanced qualifications are a plus.
• Experience working in international hotel brands or multi-property environments, ideally within IHG or similar global groups.
