Job Description
- As a member of the development team at SAP, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with highly technical and motivated developers. Your role will involve working closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. You will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable and efficient code, following best practices and industry standards.
Throughout the software development lifecycle, you will take ownership of your code from ideation to customer support. Additionally, you will build a comprehensive understanding of features across various components and adhere to agile engineering practices and processes followed by the team. Your responsibilities will also include creating and maintaining detailed technical documentation and design specifications.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to mentor junior developers and provide guidance on best practices and technical approaches. To be successful in this position, you should be an engineering graduate with over 9 years of overall software development experience. Expertise in web-based cloud applications using the JavaScript technology stack (JavaScript, TypeScript, NodeJs, React, Angular, etc) is required.
Experience in cloud development processes and microservice architecture is preferred. Excellent collaboration and communication skills are important, as you will be working with teams across multiple time zones. Hands-on experience in automation testing with tools like Mocha, Cypress automation, or equivalent is desired. Additionally, knowledge in SAP UI5, SQL, RDBSM, or HANA would be advantageous.
Supporting organizational initiatives such as hiring, representing the team in internal and external forums, and mentoring others is also part of the role. Knowledge in Apache Spark and Python is considered an added advantage.
In summary, as a key member of the Business Data Cloud (BDC) organization at SAP, you will be part of a team that provides customers with a unified data management layer.
