Supply Chain Engineer:
Experience: 4+ years.

Role Overview:
The Supply Chain Engineer will plan, manage, and procure materials for high-resolution Earth observation payloads, including space-grade materials and COTS components. The role covers supplier qualification, compliance, quality, inventory, long-lead planning, and timely availability of reliable hardware.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Strategic sourcing: Identify and vet global/domestic vendors for MIL-spec, ESCC-qualified, and COTS+ components.
- End-to-end procurement: Manage long-lead optical items such as specialized glass and sensors, and high-reliability electronics such as FPGAs and ASICs.
- Trade compliance & logistics: Manage ITAR, EAR, Indian export-import requirements, customs, DGFT-SCOMET, REACH, and related documentation.
- Supplier quality & audits: Partner with QA/QC on supplier audits, cleanroom standards, and space-grade manufacturing protocols.
- Inventory & risk management: Mitigate single-source risks and align inventory with payload integration timelines.
- Contract negotiation: Negotiate pricing, lead times, and SLAs with semiconductor and optical-system manufacturers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's in Electronics, Electrical, Supply Chain, or Industrial Engineering preferred.
- 4+ years in electronics sourcing/supply chain of EEE parts, preferably in space, aerospace, defense, or high-reliability hardware.
Preferred Candidate Will Have:
- Space/defense supply-chain experience, MIL/ESA/ISRO standards, component heritage, and screening/qualification documentation.
- ERP experience (ERPNext, Odoo, Zoho, SAP or equivalent), BOM management, and long-lead planning.
- Working knowledge of ITAR, DGFT-SCOMET, and customs documentation.
- Strong communication, coordination, documentation, vendor development, procurement, and supplier-audit skills.
- International procurement and INCOTERMS familiarity.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to anticipate, plan, organize, and self-monitor workload.
Good to Have:
- Extensive space-grade/high-reliability electronic component knowledge.
- COTS up-screening protocols for space environments.
- APQP and PPAP deliverables.
- PLM/PMS exposure across product development and mass production.
- NewSpace startup or Tier-1 aerospace supplier experience.
- 2+ years using MS Office.
- Willingness to travel domestically/internationally 5 - 10%.
