Head - TMT Marketing

Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced TMT marketing professional with a strong track record in sales, market development, channel expansion and brand building. The person will be responsible for driving the growth and market positioning of the TMT business across key customer segments and geographies.

1. Own the TMT Business:

• Own revenue, volume and margin for the TMT business.
• Drive overall growth of the TMT product portfolio.
• Develop strategies to increase market share across target geographies.
• Identify new markets, applications and customer segments.
• Track competition, pricing, demand and market trends.

2. Sales & Business Development:

• Build relationships with large builders, infrastructure companies, EPC contractors, developers, fabricators, distributors, dealers and institutional customers.
• Develop and strengthen the dealer-distributor-channel network.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities and markets.
• Drive premiumization and higher-value TMT products.
• Lead pricing, commercial negotiations and key customer engagements.
• Develop strategies for improving customer acquisition, retention and wallet share.

3. Product Management:

• Define the TMT product portfolio, grades and specifications based on market requirements.
• Work closely with manufacturing, technical and R&D teams on product development.
• Identify opportunities for differentiated products based on strength, ductility, corrosion resistance and application requirements.
• Drive new product development and successful market introduction.
• Monitor product performance, customer feedback and lifecycle.

4. Marketing & Brand Building:

• Develop the TMT brand positioning and market proposition.
• Drive product positioning across different customer segments.
• Conduct market intelligence and competitor benchmarking.
• Develop customer segmentation and targeted marketing strategies.
• Plan and execute product launches, campaigns and market activation initiatives.
• Build the brand's quality, reliability and premium proposition in the TMT market.
• Work closely with sales and channel teams to ensure consistent brand communication.

5. Market & Channel Development:

• Identify white spaces and emerging opportunities across construction, infrastructure and real estate segments.
• Develop go-to-market strategies for new geographies and customer segments.
• Strengthen dealer-distributor engagement and channel productivity.
• Monitor market pricing, competitor activity and channel feedback.
• Build long-term relationships with key influencers, contractors, consultants and institutional customers.

Key Requirements:

• 15+ years of experience in TMT-long steel-steel marketing and sales.
• Strong experience in TMT sales, business development and market expansion.
• Proven exposure to dealer-distributor-channel management.
• Strong understanding of the TMT market, customer segments, pricing and competition.
• Experience in brand building, product positioning and market intelligence.
• Strong commercial, negotiation and stakeholder-management skills.
• Experience working closely with manufacturing-technical teams will be preferred.
• Should have a strong network across builders, infrastructure, EPC, dealers-distributors and institutional customers.
