Job Title: Regional Sales Manager - South
Department: Professional Audio Business Unit
Reports To: Business Head Professional Segment
Location: Bangalore (Preferred)/ Hyderabad / Chennai
Region Covered: Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala
Travel Requirement: ~30-40%
Role Summary:
- The Regional Sales Manager - South is responsible for driving sustainable revenue growth, project wins, and channel excellence across South India for the Professional Audio portfolio.
- The role focuses on reseller expansion, project-driven sales execution, key account management, and market development across segments - Broadcast & Media, Professional Sound Studios, Film Sound & Content Creators.
- This is an individual contributor role with full ownership of the regions business, including forecasting accuracy, market intelligence, CRM discipline, and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
Channel Sales & Partner Development:
- Expand, manage, and enhance the reseller ecosystem across all South India states.
- Drive annual business plans, sales targets, and channel development programs.
- Improve overall channel performance, productivity, and territory reach.
- Lead pricing discussions, negotiations, and discount structures.
- Conduct regular business reviews with resellers and implement corrective actions.
Project Business & Pipeline Acceleration:
- Identify, qualify, and convert project opportunities in assigned segments.
- Engage with consultants, SIs, rental partners, and decision-makers early in project cycles.
- Build long-term project pipelines with 12month visibility.
- Conduct technical discussions and independently deliver mid-level product demos; involve TAE for advanced technical sessions.
- Drive project specifications, influence decisions, and improve win-rates.
- Manage high-value regional accounts: broadcasters, large studios, rental companies, and enterprise customers.
- Develop structured account plans to increase share-of-wallet.
- Ensure long-term retention and recurring business.
Active Selling:
- Act as focal point of contact to Resellers & Partners
- Proactively sell products and solutions to Resellers
- Conduct detailed meeting preparations, including usage of tools.
- Present SE USPs and benefits to Resellers
- Plans sales in line with (corporate) strategy
Internal:
- Conduct all negotiation activities with resellers (e. yearly negotiations and temporary discounts
Demand Generation:
- Strengthen relationships with sound engineers, audio professionals, studio owners, SI teams, and KOls.
- Conduct targeted workshops and product sessions with TAE.
- Build market pull through advocacy-driven engagement.
Market Intelligence:
- Conduct ongoing competitive analysis: pricing, technology trends, product introductions, market share shifts.
- Track emerging buying patterns, customer preferences, and evolving use-cases.
- Identify new vertical opportunities and growth hotspots within the South region.
- Share actionable insights with Business Head for strategy refinement and long-term planning.
MIS & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and timely CRM updates: leads, opportunities, activities, forecasts.
- Deliver weekly, monthly, and quarterly MIS reports with high data fidelity.
- Ensure forecasting accuracy for revenue, pipeline, and segment performance.
- Track channel inventories, order realization, and regional health metrics.
- Submit structured reports with insights, risks, and corrective actions.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Coordinate closely & effectively with BDMs, TAE, marketing, logistics, service, and corporate teams.
- Support region-specific marketing programs, events, and exhibitions.
- Ensure seamless delivery, installation planning, and customer experience.
Sales Process & Planning:
- Propose schemes, sales promotion methods for the assigned region.
- Propose marketing initiatives for increasing the sales in the assigned region
- Assist in projecting monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets and objectives keeping in perspective the organizations overall business plan and suggest updates, revisions and modifications to the plan as and when required
- Track and monitor entire order realization/execution process (e. track order in system) supported by backend team

Technical & Commercial Competencies:
- Strong channel sales and territory management capabilities.
- Intermediate-level technical capability: independently deliver demos and explain solutions.
- Strong negotiation, objection handling, and closing skills.
- Good understanding of Pro Audio / Broadcast ecosystems & Studio ecosystem is desired.
- Ability to manage multi-stakeholder project environments.

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelors Degree required; Engineering preferred (CS/Electronics/IT/Telecom or Equiv.)
- MBA in Marketing/Business Management preferred.
- 7-12 years of experience in Sales/Business Development in:
- Pro Audio
- AV Integration
- Broadcast Technology
- IT / Networking Solutions
- Experience managing South India or large territories is preferred.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in regional languages is an advantage.
