Job Description

Position: Director - Insurance

Department: Alliances & Business Development

Location: Mumbai

Qualification: Must be a graduate / MBA

Prior Experience:

  • Min 10 years experience in sales / alliances and business development in financial services / fintech / insurance industry.
  • Insurance industry experience specifically in health insurance will be preferred
  • Must have experience in managing and scaling insurance vertical at national or zonal level.
  • Must have prior experience in the roles of partnerships, sales, BD and PNL management.

Role Brief:

This role will own growth of Insurance Category which will include partnerships, sales, business development and building insurance as a premium revenue category for ShopSe. Will onboard new insurance partners, ensure excellent relationships, grow sales and enhance business growth.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all activities related to conceptualizing and implementing market strategy and achieving Acquisition & Growth targets for insurance category.
  • Specific responsibilities include business and market development; market research and planning, strategic direction for acquisition/onboarding and sales enhancement, promotion and coordination with cross-functional teams.

  • Responsible for hunting and farming activities and meeting the business targets.
  • Fetching brand offers, negotiations and manage partner relationships.
  • Provide leadership, direction and management of the respective market and category/channel acquisitions.
  • Ensure ShopSe acquires prominent brands in India so as to enhance maximum sales volume.
  • Build brand pipelines, attractive offers and discounts.
