Role Description The Business Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based in Bhubaneswar. The Business Manager will oversee branch operations, drive sales growth, and ensure achievement of business targets through effective planning and team management. Daily responsibilities include managing and mentoring sales teams, monitoring key performance metrics, and implementing strategies to expand the customer base in both rural and urban markets. The role involves coordinating with internal departments to optimize processes, maintaining high standards of customer service, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. The Business Manager will also identify market opportunities, support digital and technology-led initiatives, and contribute to building long-term, trust-based relationships with customers.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in business development, sales planning, and target management, with the ability to drive branch performance and revenue growth.
• Experience in team leadership, people management, and performance coaching to build and sustain high-performing sales teams.
• Proficiency in customer relationship management, service orientation, and stakeholder communication, with a focus on rural and urban markets.
• Comfort with digital tools, data analysis, and reporting to support technology-led initiatives and informed decision-making.
• Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field; a postgraduate qualification in management is an advantage.
• Prior experience in insurance, financial services, or a related domain, preferably in a branch or business management capacity.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
• Fluency in English and local languages, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and diverse customer segments.
