Role Overview

The Digital Manufacturing Intern will support implementation of Smart Manufacturing initiatives across MSMEs, assist in digital readiness assessments, and contribute to development of Proof-of-Concept (PoC) solutions in Industrial IoT, AI, and Automation.

This role provides hands-on exposure to real factory environments and practical digital transformation projects.

Key Responsibilities

1. Industry & MSME Engagement

• Assist in factory visits to assess digital maturity and automation scope
• Support data collection for Digital Readiness & Feasibility Reports
• Document current production processes and identify improvement areas
  

2. Smart Manufacturing Support

• Assist in development of:
• Industrial IoT architectures
• Machine data acquisition systems
• OEE monitoring dashboards
• AI/ML-based predictive maintenance models
• Support Proof-of-Concept (PoC) implementation in pilot factories

3. Workshop & Awareness Program Support

• Assist in organizing MSME Awareness Sessions under RAMP
• Prepare presentations on:
• Industry 4.0
• Digital Manufacturing
• Automation & Robotics
• Edge Computing & Data Analytics
• Support live demonstrations during workshops

4. Documentation & Reporting

Get Hired
• Prepare technical documentation and feasibility reports
• Assist in proposal drafting and solution architecture diagrams
• Maintain industry visit reports and case studies

5. Research & Innovation

• Conduct research on latest Industry 4.0 technologies
• Identify cost-effective digital solutions for MSMEs
• Support development of sector-specific use cases (Pharma, Food, Manufacturing, etc.)

Eligibility Criteria

• B.Tech / M.Tech / Diploma in:
• Mechanical Engineering
• Electrical Engineering
• Electronics & Communication
• Mechatronics
• Industrial Engineering
• Computer Science (AI/ML/IoT focus preferred)
• Final Year Students / Fresh Graduates preferred
