Equity Research Analyst

Role Overview:
The role primarily involves equity research (Sell Side), financial analysis, and investment advisory support. The candidate will work closely with the investment team to generate insights and actionable recommendations based on market and company analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and manage large datasets by extracting and collating data from sources such as Bloomberg, Reuters, etc.
- Perform macro and micro-level analysis of industries, sectors, and companies.
- Generate investment ideas based on rigorous data analysis and market trends.
- Prepare research reports, investment notes, and advisory outputs for clients and internal teams.
- Provide research support for portfolio construction and investment decisions.
- Contribute to daily/weekly/monthly reports such as morning notes, sector updates, concalls, and strategy reports.
- Engage in continuous tracking of sectors and companies to stay updated with market developments.
Key Deliverables / KRAs:
- Analyze industry trends using top-down and bottom-up approaches.
- Conduct company-level financial analysis (ratio analysis, valuation models, earnings projections).
- Develop well-structured investment thesis and recommendations.
- Support the investment team in portfolio strategy and decision-making.
- Participate in research publications and internal discussions.
- Build sector expertise and track competitive landscape and growth drivers.
Skill Requirements:
- Strong expertise in equity research and financial analysis.

- Good understanding of valuation techniques, financial modelling, and market dynamics.
- Ability to interpret large datasets and derive actionable insights.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills for presenting research insights.
Preferred Sector Experience:
- Banking / NBFC.
- Small/Mid cap Sector Hospitality/Pharma preferred as one of the sectors.
Candidate Criteria:
Experience: 5-10 years in relevant equity research roles.
