Head - Taxation - Banking/Financial Services - CA

Role Overview:

• Lead the end-to-end taxation function, covering Direct and Indirect Tax.
• Oversee Corporate Income Tax, TDS, GST and other applicable tax compliances across the organisation.
• Ensure timely and accurate tax returns, payments, reconciliations, provisions and statutory reporting.

Tax Strategy and Advisory:

• Drive tax planning and tax-risk management in alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Provide tax advisory on new products, business models, contracts, transactions, investments, restructuring and strategic initiatives.
• Evaluate tax implications of various business arrangements and recommend appropriate tax-efficient structures.

Compliance and Litigation:

• Lead tax assessments, audits, notices, appeals and litigation, including coordination with external tax advisors and representation before tax authorities.
• Monitor changes in tax laws, regulations, circulars and judicial developments and assess their impact on the organisation.
• Ensure appropriate GST input-tax-credit management, TDS/WHT compliance and tax reconciliations.
• Oversee tax provisioning, deferred tax and advance-tax computations in coordination with Finance/Controllership.
