Role Description The Head of Business Development is a full-time, on-site role based in Vadodara, responsible for driving growth, revenue, and strategic partnerships for SMS2ORBIT. This role involves developing and executing business expansion plans, identifying new markets and customer segments, and building a strong pipeline of opportunities for A2P messaging solutions. The Head of Business Development will lead and mentor the sales and account management teams, oversee key client relationships, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention. Daily responsibilities include analyzing market trends and performance data, refining go-to-market strategies, collaborating with product and marketing teams, preparing forecasts and reports for leadership, and representing the company in client meetings, industry events, and negotiations.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Business Development and Sales skills, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth and closing strategic deals.
• Candidates should possess Business Planning and Analytical Skills to design, evaluate, and optimize growth strategies, sales funnels, and market entry plans.
• Candidates should possess Account Management skills to nurture long-term client relationships, manage key accounts, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Candidates should have excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and decision-makers.
• Candidates should have experience leading and developing teams, including setting targets, coaching, and performance management.
• Candidates should have familiarity with SaaS, telecom, or messaging platforms (A2P/Bulk SMS or related communication services) and an understanding of digital customer engagement.
• Candidates should hold a bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; an advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) is an advantage.
• Candidates should demonstrate strategic thinking, adaptability in a fast-paced environment, and strong organizational skills to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
