Job Description
- ● Manage end-to-end accounting for Australian clients
- ● Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- ● Perform bank, credit card, loan, and balance sheet reconciliations
- ● Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions
- ● Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and adjustments
- ● Manage month-end and year-end closing activities
- ● Finalize books of accounts and ensure accuracy of financial records
- ● Prepare workpapers and supporting schedules for year-end compliance and tax requirements
- ● Prepare and review BAS (Business Activity Statements) and IAS (Instalment Activity Statements)
- ● Ensure GST compliance and reconciliations
- ● Assist in payroll processing and superannuation reconciliations
- ● Prepare management reports, cash flow reports, and financial analysis
- ● Coordinate with Australian accountants, tax agents, and clients for reporting requirements
- ● Work extensively on Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, and other cloud-based accounting software
- ● Review accounting records, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions
- ● Mentor junior team members and review their work for accuracy and compliance
