J_1283 - FEA Engineer (ANSA, META, ABAQUS, HyperWorks)

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out FEA projects primarily involving structural analysis of base frames as per customer requirements.
• Independently perform FE modelling of shell and solid structures based on the physics required to be simulated.
• Handle moderate to complex FEA models independently.
• Carry out analytical thinking and problem solving, including resolving convergence issues during analysis.
• Perform plausibility checks and interpret FEA results appropriately.
• Collaborate with designers for input data clarification and explain design enablers, wherever required.
• Prepare and document FEA results as per standard company formats.
• Present the analysis results and findings to the end customer, as required.

Skills and Experience Required:

• Experience required: 3 to 5 Years.
• Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Sound experience in structural FEA, preferably involving base-frame structures.
• Good experience in FE modelling of shell and solid structures.

• Software Tools: Proficiency in ANSA, META, ABAQUS, Hyperworks.
  • Ability to use ANSA and META for pre-processing and post-processing.
  • Competent in using ABAQUS for solving.
• Good analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, including the ability to troubleshoot convergence issues.
• Good understanding of FEA results interpretation and plausibility checks.
• Understanding of welding standards, including knowledge of weld types, weld symbols, and relevant standards such as ISO, DIN and AWS, would be an added advantage.
• Good collaboration skills and ability to work with designers for input clarification and design discussions.
• Good technical documentation and presentation skills.
