Job Description

    This position is for a Manager with an advanced degree in a quantitative discipline, requiring experience and proficiency in areas of statistics, applied mathematics, and SAS programming language. A good understanding of retail banking/small business lending businesses is essential. You will utilize these skills in developing risk models such as IRB, IFRS9, Custom Scorecards, and other risk analytics within retail banking/small business lending portfolios. Your responsibilities will include developing statistically derived predictive models, performing decision tree-based customer segmentation and profiling analyses, assisting in the business implementation of sophisticated Regulatory and Scoring models, and providing analytic support to Standard Chartered businesses globally.
    Regulatory & Business Conduct
    You are expected to display exemplary conduct and adhere to the Group's Values and Code of Conduct. Take personal responsibility for upholding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct. Lead the team to achieve outcomes aligned with the Bank's Conduct Principles, and effectively identify, escalate, mitigate, and resolve risk, conduct, and compliance matters. Additionally, you will serve as a Director of the Board and exercise authorities delegated by the Board of Directors in accordance with the Articles of Association.
    Other Responsibilities
    You will be responsible for embedding "Here for Good" and the Group's brand and values within the team. Perform other assigned responsibilities under Group, Country, Business, or Functional policies and procedures. Be prepared to handle multiple functions effectively.
    Skills And Experience
    The ideal candidate should possess analytical, strategic, and conceptual thinking skills along with attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and strong verbal/written communication and presentation skills. You should be highly motivated, organized, and methodical with expertise in Credit Risk Modelling.
    Qualifications
    A Bachelors/Advanced (Masters or higher) Degree in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, Economics, Engineering, or other quantitative discipline is required. A good understanding of retail banking/small business/consumer finance products and business life-cycles is essential. You should have 1-4 years of in-depth experience in hands-on Statistical Modeling in credit risk for retail banking/small business/consumer finance portfolios. Proficiency in statistical programming skills in SAS or similar tools, a strong analytical background, and hands-on experience in mining data and understanding data patterns are necessary. Experience in interacting with Business directly and exposure to International markets would be advantageous.
