Lead AI Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable Python-based backend systems and APIs.
• Build, train, and deploy ML/AI models to solve real-world problems (e.g., NLP, computer vision, recommendation systems).
• Collaborate with data scientists, ML engineers, and product teams to integrate AI models into production environments.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices.
• Optimize algorithms and code for performance and scalability.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical reviews and architecture decisions.
• Stay current with the latest AI/ML research and tools to help drive innovation.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in Python development.
• Strong knowledge of core Python concepts including OOP, data structures, and concurrency.
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, or Hugging Face.
• Experience building RESTful APIs using Flask, FastAPI, or Django.
• Solid understanding of machine learning lifecycle, including data preprocessing, model training, evaluation, and deployment.
• Proficiency in working with data using Pandas, NumPy, and SQL.
• Familiarity with MLOps practices and tools (e.g., MLflow, DVC, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with version control systems like Git.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and their AI/ML services.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools.
• Knowledge of NLP, computer vision, or generative AI.
• Familiarity with data pipelines and ETL tools (Airflow, Kafka, etc.).
• Contribution to open-source projects or technical publications.
