About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced consulting professional to join its Financial Services Consulting – Payments Transformation Practice as a Manager. The role is intended for professionals with deep expertise in digital payments, fintech ecosystems, payment infrastructure modernization, merchant acquiring, digital lending, cross-border payments, financial inclusion, and payment strategy.

The position offers an opportunity to work with leading payment aggregators, fintechs, regulators, central banks, payment network operators, development institutions, government agencies, and international organizations to design and implement transformative payment and digital financial services initiatives.

Core Responsibilities

A. Digital Payments and Digital Lending

• Leading research efforts to understand market trends in digital payments and lending
• Working on solution capabilities, technology architecture and innovative solutions to enhance digital payment and lending products
• Keeping track of the latest developments in the payments and lending sector in India and across the globe
• Enhancing compliance and risk framework for Digital payment and lending solutions

B. Merchant Onboarding and Payments Acceptance

• Conducting market assessments to understand merchant needs, pain points, and adoption barriers
• Designing merchant acquisition and onboarding strategies for payment ecosystem participants
• Evaluating merchant onboarding journeys and identifying opportunities for digitization and process optimization
• Developing frameworks to improve onboarding efficiency, merchant activation, and transaction adoption

C. International Payments and Cross-Border Solutions

• Conducting in-depth research on payment ecosystems, fast payment systems, digital payment infrastructure, and digital financial services across targeted countries
• Assessing cross-border payment models, remittance ecosystems, interoperability frameworks, and international payment partnerships
• Developing market entry strategies, operating models, and implementation approaches for payment initiatives in international markets

D. Financial Inclusion and Digital Financial Services

• Developing strategies to improve access to payment services and formal financial solutions among underserved populations
• Supporting public-sector and development finance programs focused on financial empowerment and digital inclusion

E. Reporting and Client Deliverables

• Undertaking requirements gathering and business analysis activities
• Translating complex data and research findings into actionable insights and recommendations
• Developing client-ready reports, presentations, executive summaries, discussion papers, and board-level materials
• Ensuring timely delivery of high-quality outputs across multiple engagements

F. Stakeholder Management and Internal Coordination

• Working closely with senior management and client leadership teams to understand business requirements and project objectives
• Facilitating effective communication and collaboration across cross functional teams
• Managing stakeholder consultations, workshops, and steering committee interactions
• Supporting knowledge development and capability-building initiatives within the practice
