Role summary

We are looking for a Senior AI-Native Application Engineer who works as a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE): embedded with our clients, close to their users, data and systems. You will build and ship conversational and agentic AI applications end to end, from React or Vue.js front ends to Node.js, Python, Java or .NET back ends, and turn real customer problems into working software in production. You move fast, own outcomes, and feed what you learn in the field back into our platforms and accelerators.

Key responsibilities

• Build and ship fullstack AI-native applications using React or Vue.js front ends with Node.js, Python, Java or .NET back ends.
• Develop conversational AI and agentic AI features using LangChain, LangGraph or equivalent frameworks, including tool calling, RAG, memory and multi-step workflows.
• Integrate LLMs and managed AI services (OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Gemini, Vertex AI, Bedrock, Azure OpenAI) with client systems, APIs and data sources.
• Deploy and operate applications on GCP, AWS or Azure using containers, serverless and CI/CD, and own them through to production.
• Write clean, tested and well-documented code; take an active part in design and code reviews.
• Embed with client teams, on-site or remote; work directly with business users, SMEs and engineers to understand workflows, pain points and success criteria.
• Run discovery sessions and map client processes to identify high-value AI use cases; turn them into scoped, buildable solutions.
• Rapidly prototype and demo working solutions (POCs and MVPs), iterate on user feedback, and harden them for production.
• Work within the clients environment: connect to their data, legacy systems, identity and security controls, and meet their compliance and governance requirements.
• Define and track success metrics with the client (accuracy, adoption, time saved, cost) and run LLM evaluations against real-world data.
• Own production support in the client environment; troubleshoot issues across the stack, prompts, agents and integrations.
• Drive adoption: train client users and teams, write runbooks and hand-over documentation, and enable client engineers to own the solution.
• Act as the voice of the customer: feed field learnings, recurring patterns and feature requests back to product, platform and practice teams, and turn them into reusable components and accelerators.
• Communicate progress, risks and trade-offs clearly to client stakeholders and internal leads.

Required skills and experience

• 4–6 years of professional software development, with solid fullstack delivery experience.
• Strong front-end skills in React or Vue.js (component design, state management, TypeScript).
• Strong back-end skills in at least one of Node.js (Express, NestJS), Python (FastAPI, Django), Java (Spring Boot) or .NET (ASP.NET Core).
• Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience building conversational AI and agentic AI applications using LangChain or equivalent frameworks (e.g., LangGraph, LangChain4j, Semantic Kernel).
• Working knowledge of LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Gemini or similar), prompt engineering, embeddings, vector databases and RAG patterns.
• Must have cloud-native experience on at least one of Google Cloud, AWS or Azure.
• Mandatory hands-on DevOps experience, including CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and production deployments.
• Experience in client-facing or customer-embedded roles; comfortable working directly with business users and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong ownership and problem-solving: able to work through ambiguity, make pragmatic trade-offs and deliver independently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel and work on-site at client locations as needed.

Nice to have

• Exposure to LLMOps tooling such as LangSmith, Langfuse or Arize.
• Exposure to one or more business domains (e.g., BFSI, healthcare, retail, manufacturing, logistics).
• Prior experience in a forward deployed, solutions engineering, startup or consulting role.
• Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure or Google Cloud).
