Head - Human Resource - Manufacturing Firm

Role Overview:

This is a leadership role with an Indian conglomerate with multiple national & international businesses.

HR Head will be responsible for leading and directing the human resources function. This is a pivotal role involves developing and executing HR strategies that align with the overall business objectives, fostering a positive and productive work environment, and ensuring compliance with all relevant labor laws and regulations. You will collaborate closely with the senior leadership team, department heads, and employees at all levels to drive employee engagement, talent acquisition, performance management, and organizational development initiatives. Your leadership will directly impact employee satisfaction, productivity, and the overall success of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy to support organizational goals and objectives.
• Lead the talent acquisition process, including sourcing, interviewing, and hiring qualified candidates, to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
• Manage the performance management process, including setting performance goals, providing feedback, and conducting performance reviews, to drive employee development and improve performance.
• Oversee employee relations, including addressing employee grievances, resolving conflicts, and ensuring a positive and productive work environment, to maintain high employee morale and engagement.
• Develop and administer compensation and benefits programs that are competitive and aligned with industry standards to attract and retain employees.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws and regulations to minimize legal risks and maintain ethical business practices.
• Lead and develop the HR team, providing coaching, mentoring, and training to enhance their skills and capabilities.
• Drive organizational development initiatives, including change management, leadership development, and employee training programs, to improve organizational effectiveness.

Required Skillset:

• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement HR strategies that align with business objectives and drive organizational success.
• Proven expertise in talent acquisition, performance management, employee relations, and compensation and benefits administration.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with employees at all levels.
• Strong knowledge of labor laws and regulations, with the ability to ensure compliance and minimize legal risks.
• Adaptability to work in an on-site manufacturing environment.
• Minimum of 15-20 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a manufacturing setting.
