Role Description The Senior Accountant will manage and review accounting records, financial statements, and ledgers to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant standards and regulations. Responsibilities include overseeing audit assignments, supporting internal, statutory, tax, and GST audit processes, and preparing necessary schedules and documentation. The role involves handling tax computations, assisting with filings, and advising on financial and compliance issues for clients. The Senior Accountant will also guide junior team members, coordinate with clients to clarify requirements, and contribute to process improvements within the firm. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Kolkata.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in accounting principles, financial reporting, and ledger management.
• Experience with internal audits, statutory audits, tax audits, and GST & income tax compliance.
• Ability to analyze financial data, identify discrepancies, and recommend corrective actions.
• Comfort with accounting software, spreadsheets, and basic financial modeling tools.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management abilities.
• Effective communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration.
• Capability to supervise and mentor junior accounting staff on assignments.
• Bachelors degree or Masters Degreein Accounting & Finance
• Prior experience in an audit or accounting firm, ideally in a senior or lead role.
• High ethical standards and commitment to maintaining confidentiality of client information.
