If you are NOT passionate about software, this role will not be a great fit. You must be very technical.

The Role

You will lead a team of engineers while remaining deeply hands-on -- working directly with founders and engineers to design systems, review code, make technical decisions, and ensure high-quality execution. You must be comfortable working closely with highly technical engineering teams.

What Youll Do

• Lead and manage a team of software engineers building production AI systems
• Stay hands-on by reviewing code, debugging issues, and contributing to development
• Drive architecture decisions and engineering best practices
• Own sprint planning, engineering execution, and delivery timelines
• Work directly with clients to understand, document, and translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Collaborate closely with founders, product, and AI teams throughout development
• Mentor engineers and maintain a high-performance engineering culture
• Ensure production reliability, scalability, and code quality
• Coordinate technical execution across multiple AI initiatives

What Were Looking For

• Proven experience as a Software Engineering Manager or Senior Software Engineer
• Extremely high ownership attitude, and you must be very technical
• Passion for software/AI
• Experience leading or mentoring software engineering teams
• Strong software architecture and system design skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving
• High ownership with exceptional attention to detail
• Comfortable working in fast-paced startup environments with ambiguity
