Job Description
- The role of SCM Data Steward & Data Governance involves managing and overseeing data related to various domains such as Master Data, Price & Promotion, Returns, Shipment, Claims, Order, Credit, Invoices, AR/AP across programs like NRM/RGM, Retail Sales, Cost to Serve. As an analyst, you will be required to have a deep understanding of source systems including SAP, TMS, WMS, Blue Yonder, and TPM systems. This includes knowledge of tables, column names, and KPI definitions.
The process involves collaborating with business stakeholders to define KPIs, pulling data from systems using SQL/ADF, and profiling the data. Data Quality (DQ) checks are crucial, including validating data existence, required columns, and expected values against 7 dimensions of data quality. In case of DQ gaps, you will be responsible for creating a remediation plan, coordinating with data owners for resolution, and updating stakeholders on progress.
Additionally, you will use the Informatica Cataloguing tool to document KPI definitions, data context, and other relevant information. Understanding the nuances of different metrics, such as DSD vs Distributor business, and how KPIs vary between them is also a part of the role.
