Tax Executive

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Associate Manager of Taxation with a strong background in US tax regulations and compliance. The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 6 years of experience in tax-related roles, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of US tax laws and their application. The Associate Manager will be responsible for supporting tax compliance, planning, and reporting activities within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and review of federal, state, and local tax returns, ensuring accuracy and adherence to relevant regulations and deadlines.
• Conduct research on various tax issues, interpret tax laws, regulations, and rulings, and provide recommendations to ensure compliance and minimize tax liabilities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, and accounting, to gather relevant financial data for tax reporting purposes.
• Assist in the preparation of tax provisions and related documentation for financial statements.
• Support tax audits and inquiries by compiling necessary documentation and providing information to tax authorities as needed.
• 
  Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on the companys tax position and reporting requirements.
• Participate in tax planning initiatives, identifying opportunities for tax savings and efficiency improvements.
• Assist in the preparation of transfer pricing documentation and related compliance requirements.
• Maintain organized and accurate tax records, documentation, and workpapers.
• Provide guidance to junior team members and interns, fostering their professional development.
• Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging trends in US taxation.

Qualifications and Experience:

• CA/CPA qualification preferred.
• Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in tax-related roles, with a focus on US taxation.
• Sound understanding of federal, state, and local tax regulations and compliance requirements.
• Experience with tax compliance software and financial reporting systems.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex tax regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other relevant software.
• Ability to adapt to changes in tax laws and regulations and integrate them into tax planning and compliance.
• Previous experience in a public accounting firm or corporate tax department is a plus.
