Job Description
- Key Responsibilities
- 1. Plant Operations & Uptime Management
- Own the full operational responsibility for a utility-scale solar PV plant (>20 MW).
- Ensure high plant availability (>99%) through effective preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Monitor inverters, transformers, switchgear, and evacuation lines to ensure optimal uptime.
- Daily SCADA review and real-time system troubleshooting to preempt faults and downtime.
- 2. Energy Trading & Market Coordination
- Coordinate closely with Manikaran or other energy trading agencies for:
- Scheduling and day-ahead declarations
- Availability reports
- Curtailment, deviation settlement, or grid outage impact reporting
- Track and optimize generation vs. scheduled supply to minimize penalties and deviations.
- Ensure timely submission of generation reports to SLDCs and trading partners.
- 3. Performance Reporting & Analytics
- Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly dashboards for generation, CUF, PR%, inverter availability, and loss analysis.
- Conduct RCA (Root Cause Analysis) on performance dips and implement action plans.
- Drive generation optimization via cleaning schedules, shading assessment, string-level analytics, etc.
- 4. Field Team & Vendor Oversight
- Lead on-site O&M teams including technicians and engineers.
- Ensure field protocols are followed for safety, inspection, routine maintenance, and emergency response.
- Coordinate with OEMs for breakdown maintenance and warranty service claims.
- Maintain tool and spare part inventory and raise requisitions as needed.
- 5. Compliance, Documentation & Regulatory Interface
- Maintain updated logs and statutory records including:
- Safety inspections
- Work orders and maintenance logs
- Grid and SLDC coordination letters
- Assist in any licensing updates, CEA audit readiness, and DISCOM interface needs
