1. Vehicle Electronics Architecture

  • Design, build and bring into production high performance electronics hardware such as vehicle control units, display clusters, telematics that include RF circuits, and sensor electronics.
  • Extract requirements from different component systems, firmware systems, software systems and vehicle systems to define architectures for high-speed electronic design of control units and telematics.
  • Develop and maintain system-level schematics, interface definitions, and communication protocols (CAN, LIN, UART, SPI, I2C).

2. Embedded Systems Design

  • Design the architecture and native hardware using high-speed, high-performance microprocessors and micro-controllers for supporting automotive OS, graphics, vision systems, audio systems, radar/LIDAR systems.
  • Architect and design/validate connected vehicle systems including GNSS, LTE, BLE and Wi-Fi.
  • Lead the design, development and integration of embedded hardware for vehicle functions such as lighting, indicators, horn, immobiliser, cluster and IMUs.
  • Collaborate with firmware teams to define hardware-software interfaces, bootloaders, and OTA update mechanisms.

3. Diagnostics & Compliance

  • Develop and implement UDS-based diagnostics, fault logging, and service tools.
  • Ensure compliance with AIS-004, ISO 26262, and other relevant automotive manufacturing and design standards.

4. Testing & Validation

  • Define and execute test plans for bench-level and vehicle-level validation.

  • Hands-on experience with relevant hardware design/simulation software tools (PSPICE, LTSPICE, SIMPLIS, Simmetrix).
  • Background in RF circuit design, SI/PI analyses, impedance analyses, RF simulation is preferred.
  • Knowledge on best practices from board design point-of-view for EMI/EMC compliant design.
  • Highly skilled at problem solving and debugging embedded hardware circuits.
  • Experience in bringing into practice complex embedded hardware via thorough testing and validation on component and system level.
  • Knowledge of PCB design tools (OrCAD, Altium, Mentor Graphics or others) including schematic capture, board layout, stack-up and impedance-controlled designs, DFM methodologies/constraints.
  • Background in design and development of high-speed, high-performance embedded systems hardware involving numerous multi-core micro-processors, micro-controllers, graphic controllers, SOM modules and volatile/non-volatile memory chips.
  • Background in developing architectures and designing hardware involving high-speed communication protocols such as USB, Ethernet, CAN, LIN, SPI, LVDS, MIPI.
  • Commitment and passion towards all things engineering, in general, and embedded hardware design in particular. Drive towards creating new ideas and bringing them into practice.
  • Strong work ethic, bias towards action, and readiness to be outside one's own comfort zone.

Good to have skills:

  • Hands-on development of complex embedded hardware system and architecture, preferably, in 2W/4W/EV domain.
  • Hands-on testing and validation of design output.
