Purchase Lead - Automobile

• Job Purpose & Role

• Lead commercial settlements with domestic and import suppliers across commodities.
• Oversee procurement of parts within specified timelines, ensuring seamless supply for production.
• Manage PO release, price approvals documentation, and BOM cost control.
• Monitor commodity inflation/deflation data and align purchasing strategies.
• Act as a team player within the Purchase department, collaborating across functions to meet organizational goals.

Key Activities & Expectations:

• Proven experience in Sourcing/VD for a group with - 1500 Cr.+ annual turnover operating in both global and domestic markets.
• Directly manage suppliers in previous organizations, ensuring performance, cost efficiency, and reliability.
• Support Project Teams, SCM Teams, Commodity Purchasing Teams, and Aftermarket Services regarding supplier concerns.
• Represent the organization to suppliers, ensuring effective relationship and partnership management.
• Contribute to supplier selection, relationship building, partnership structuring, and negotiation strategies.
• Demonstrated project management knowledge and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record in cost optimization.
• Technical expertise to collaborate with internal teams and suppliers on drawing feasibility studies and engineering aspects.
• Experience working with government bodies such as DGQA.
