Area Technical Manager

Job description

The Area Technical Manager is responsible for overseeing technical operations, support, and services across a designated region or area. This position requires a combination of technical expertise, leadership, and strong problem-solving abilities to ensure seamless operations, high-quality service delivery, and continuous improvement within the region.

Key Duties & Responsibilities of the roles:

• Develop market intelligence on properties across the handling region.
• Create & timely update location-specific technical policy based on local bylaws & practices.
• Review collateral selection practices & frame specific guidelines.
• Keep abreast of market and real estate developments.
• Identify, collect, and update information on regulatory changes, amendments in bylaws, policies, and rules affecting valuations & project approvals Responsible for handling the end-to-end valuation process from initiation till final acceptance of the same, including the adherence of sanctioned terms along with technical aspects.
• Ensuring time-bound resolution of queries raised by stakeholders, business/risk, and other support units.
• Sound knowledge of real-estate-based lending and other RBI regulations related to all types of collateral/securities.
• Grooming the team for proper data & MIS management of entire collaterals for further analysis
• Ensure all collateral-related initiations are conducted in a timely manner.
• Identify, empanel, and handle external technical agencies.
• Timely follow-up with vendors for completion of service allocated

  Vendor Management : Managing external valuation agencies, involvement in empanelment & regular reviews of valuers/vendors along with invoice payments.
• Maintenance of requisite TAT through vendors & internal processes housed under the team
• Conduct internal training related to the implementation of collateral-related activities.
• Visiting properties on a need basis.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proven time management proficiency.
• Resourceful, pragmatic, and realistic approach to analysis with limited data and time
• Should be open to frequent travel
