Job Title: SEO - Finance Content Writer
Location: Mumbai
Job description summary:
We are seeking experienced Content Writers with a strong understanding of BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance) topics to join our team. As a key member of Upstoxs content team, you will create high-quality, SEO-optimised content that resonates with our audience and ranks well on search engines. You will write blogs, articles, and educational content on stock trading, financial markets, investment strategies, and personal finance, while ensuring the content aligns with Googles Helpful Content Update and EEAT (Expertise, Authoritativeness, Trustworthiness) guidelines. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring all content is free from plagiarism and adheres to the highest editorial standards.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct Keyword Research: Identify high-potential keywords related to BFSI topics, such as stock trading, personal finance, mutual funds, and investing strategies-
- Write & Optimize Content: Write well-researched, SEO-friendly blog posts, articles, and landing pages that align with user intent and rank on search engines
- Adhere to Google Guidelines: Ensure all content meets Googles Helpful Content Update, focusing on creating valuable, informative, and user-focused content. Follow EEAT guidelines to build trust and authority in financial topics
- Use AI & Plagiarism Detection Tools: Regularly use tools like Copyscape and AI content detectors to ensure all content is original, plagiarism-free, and human-written
- Monitor Content Performance: Track content performance using tools like Google Analytics and SEMrush to optimize existing content and identify new opportunities.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work with SEO specialists to ensure content is properly optimized and aligned with broader marketing goals.

- Proven Writing Expertise: 4+ years of writing high-quality, SEO-optimized content, particularly in the BFSI space
SEO Knowledge: Strong understanding of SEO principles, including keyword research, on-page optimization, meta tags, internal linking, and content structuring.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the BFSI sector, including stock trading, personal finance, mutual funds, retirement planning, and investment strategies
- Google Guidelines Awareness: Thorough understanding of Googles Helpful Content Update and EEAT guidelines and how to align content with these standards
- Plagiarism & AI Detection: Ability to identify and avoid AI-generated content. Proficiency in using plagiarism-checking and AI-detection tools to ensure originality
- Content Strategy: Ability to write content that resonates with the target audience while meeting SEO and editorial requirements
- Attention to Detail: High editorial standards, including grammar, style, and fact-checking, particularly for financial and investment content
