Insurance Accountant

Description

We are seeking a skilled Insurance Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have 3-10 years of experience in accounting, preferably within the insurance sector, and will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain insurance financial statements and reports.
• Conduct financial analysis to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts for the insurance division.
• Review and reconcile accounts related to premiums, claims, and reserves.
• Support audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Collaborate with other departments to streamline accounting processes.

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Strong understanding of insurance accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks) and MS Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements in the insurance industry.
