Position: Business Development Specialist Revenue & Fund Generation
(Nation First | Execution-Focused | Sustainability Mandate)
Role Purpose (Why This Role Exists)
The Business Development Specialist at Veterans India is responsible for generating revenue and funds across all Wings, initiatives, programs, and national activities to ensure the financial sustainability and growth of the organisation.
This is not a support role.
This is a frontline revenue role.
The mandate is clear:
Convert Veterans Indias credibility, MoUs, wings, national reach, and veteran leadership into sustainable money flow.
Core Mandate
From the first month onwards, the Business Development Specialist must:
Actively generate funds, revenue, CSR support, sponsorships, memberships, and program income
Build and manage a live revenue pipeline
Support the CEO in making Veterans India financially self-sustaining
Key Revenue Areas to Be Handled
The role covers all revenue-generating possibilities, including but not limited to:
1. Institutional & HEI Revenue
Institutional Memberships (10 lakh permanent / 1 lakh annual)
AICTE-aligned paid programs in HEIs
Veteran-led orientation, leadership, NCC, SSB/CDS preparation modules
Pride of Nation Awards participation and conversion into memberships
2. CSR, Sponsorship & Partnerships
CSR funding across Veterans India Wings (education, sports, youth, disaster preparedness, etc.)
Corporate, PSU, foundation partnerships
Event sponsorships (sports, awards, national observances)
Multi-year CSR & partnership MoUs
3. Sports Wing & Event-Based Revenue
Institutional sports packages
Tournaments, leagues, rural & youth sports programs
CSR and sponsorship through sports initiatives
4. Program-Based & Activity-Based Revenue
Paid national programs, workshops, certifications
Veteran speaker series & mentoring programs
National campaigns and observance-based activities
Key Responsibilities
Identify, pitch, negotiate, and close revenue opportunities
Work closely with:
CEO
Heads of Wings
Outreach Coordinators
Prepare:
Pitch decks
Proposals
Revenue models
Maintain:
Lead pipeline
Conversion tracker
Monthly revenue report
Convert:
Interest Commitment Funds realised
Ensure every activity has a funding logic attached
Performance Expectations (Non-Negotiable)
Clear monthly revenue targets
Visible pipeline at all times
Funds realised, not just promised
Strong follow-up and closure discipline
Professional representation of Veterans India
Who Should Apply (Ideal Profile)
Experience in business development, sales, CSR, partnerships, or institutional outreach
Comfortable working with minimal fixed salary + performance-linked incentives
Ability to speak confidently with:

Compensation Structure
Fixed Salary: Kept minimal (as per experience and role fit)
Performance Incentives:
Percentage-based incentives on funds/revenue realised

(All incentives are compliance-safe and outcome-based.)
