Asst. Manager-Audit (CA FIRM Experience Mandatory)

Role Description The Asst. Manager Audit role at VirtuAxel is a full-time, on-site position based in Mangaluru. The individual in this role will oversee audit engagements for clients, including planning audit procedures, reviewing financial records, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting and tax regulations. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating with clients to gather documentation, supervising junior team members, reviewing working papers, and preparing accurate audit reports and recommendations. The role also involves liaising with Chartered Accountants, maintaining audit quality standards, and supporting process improvements within the firm. The Asst. Manager Audit will be expected to manage timelines, handle multiple assignments, and contribute to building strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience working in a CA firm, with exposure to statutory audits, tax audits, and compliance reviews.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, taxation laws, GST, TDS, and related regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in accounting and audit tools (e.g., Tally, Excel, audit software) and comfort with technology-driven workflows.
• Ability to review financial statements, assess internal controls, and identify process and compliance gaps.
• Effective communication, client-handling, and documentation skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and capability to manage deadlines and multiple engagements.
• Professional qualification such as CA Inter, CMA Inter, or equivalent; additional certification in audit or taxation is an advantage.
• Willingness to work on-site in Mangaluru and take responsibility for mentoring and guiding junior audit staff.
