CA Article Trainee

Role Description The CA Article Trainee will support accounting, taxation, and compliance activities for clients under the supervision of qualified professionals. Day-to-day responsibilities include maintaining books of accounts, assisting with GST, TDS, and income tax return filings, preparing reconciliations and working papers, and supporting statutory and internal audits. The trainee will also help with payroll processing, basic HR documentation, and back-office activities related to client engagements. The role offers exposure to virtual CFO assignments, financial reporting, and process improvements across different industries. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mysore, requiring regular coordination with team members and client stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Candidates should be registered as CA Articles under ICAI and eligible to commence or continue articleship training.
• Strong foundational knowledge of accounting principles, taxation laws (including GST, TDS, and income tax), and basic corporate compliance.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (such as Tally, Zoho, or similar tools), with the ability to prepare reconciliations and working papers.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail in financial documentation and data review.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
• Ability to manage time effectively, handle multiple assignments, and meet deadlines in a structured environment.
• Willingness to learn, adapt to new systems and processes, and work in a technology-enabled, consulting-focused setting.
• Prior internship or exposure to accounting, tax, or audit work is an advantage but not mandatory.
