About this Role

We are seeking a Treasury & Payments Specialist to join our Finance Shared Services Treasury & Cash Management team in Pune. The role is responsible for supporting Vodafone’s financial operations through treasury activities, payment processing, cash management, bank reconciliations, liquidity planning, financial controls, and reporting. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with local markets, Group Treasury, banking partners, and cross-functional teams while contributing to treasury transformation and process improvement initiatives.

What you’ll do

  • Process SAP-based touchless and manual payments while ensuring timely and accurate execution in line with internal controls.
  • Execute funding and treasury-related payment transactions and manage payment exceptions, returns, and rejections.
  • Collaborate with banking partners and stakeholders to resolve payment-related queries and operational issues.
  • Perform daily bank statement uploads and treasury processing activities.
  • Support cash positioning, liquidity management, cash concentration, and funding activities.
  • Maintain treasury records and ensure data accuracy across treasury operations.
  • Prepare and review bank reconciliations, general ledger reconciliations, and open item clearing activities.
  • Support intercompany and external loan accounting activities and investigate unreconciled transactions.
  • Produce daily and periodic cash flow forecasts and monitor forecast accuracy.
  • Deliver treasury reporting to management and Group Treasury and support period-end reporting requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with treasury policies, SOX controls, and audit requirements.
  • Contribute to treasury transformation programmes, ISO 20022 initiatives, automation, and process efficiency improvements using SAP, Excel, Power BI, and Copilot technologies where applicable.

Who you are

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline. MBA Finance, CA Inter, or CMA Inter qualifications are preferred.
  • 3 to 6 years of experience in Treasury, Cash Management, Banking Operations, Payments, Financial Accounting, or a Shared Services environment.
  • Experience working with multinational organisations and ERP systems is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Treasury and Cash Management Operations, Payment Processing, Banking Operations, Bank Reconciliations, Cash Forecasting, Liquidity Management, and Financial Accounting.
  • Proficiency in SAP (ECC/S4HANA preferred) and Advanced Microsoft Excel. Power BI knowledge is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a focus on accuracy and controls.
  • Effective stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage priorities and work effectively within established timelines.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
