Role Description

The Head of Finance will be responsible for shaping the financial health of the company, driving long-term strategy, ensuring compliance, and building investor confidence. This role combines hands-on financial operations with strategic leadership, reporting directly to the CEO.

Key responsibilities

• Financial Strategy & Planning: Develop and execute long-term financial strategy aligned with business growth and investment goals.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead annual budgets, cash flow management, and forecasting.
• Capital Structuring: Drive fundraising efforts, manage debt/equity structuring, and build strong banking/investor relationships.
• Risk Management: Identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Financial Control & Compliance: Oversee audits, tax planning, statutory filings, and corporate governance.
• Project Finance: Structure PPAs, open access projects, and renewable energy investments for profitability and scalability.
• Leadership: Build and mentor a high-performing finance team, implementing systems and processes for efficiency.

Qualifications

• Chartered Accountant (CA) / MBA Finance / CFA (preferred).
• 812+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, ideally in renewable energy, infrastructure, or investment-heavy industries.
• Strong background in project finance, fundraising, and investor relations.
• Proven ability to manage financial strategy in growth-stage companies.
• Exceptional knowledge of Indian financial regulations, tax, and compliance.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
