Job Purpose/ Summary

The Diploma Engineer Trainee (DET. in the DRI Plant is responsible for supporting the safe, efficient, and continuous operation of the plant to achieve production and quality targets. The role involves monitoring process parameters, assisting in the operation and maintenance of plant equipment, conducting routine inspections, and identifying operational abnormalities for timely corrective action. The DET works closely with production, maintenance, and quality teams to ensure smooth plant functioning, adherence to safety and environmental standards, and compliance with operational procedures. Additionally, the position contributes to process optimization, equipment reliability, record maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives while gaining technical expertise and practical experience in DRI plant operations.

The Diploma Engineer Trainee (DET. in the QA-QC department at the Bhopal location is tasked with ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance in steel production processes. This role requires the DET to actively monitor and evaluate process parameters, ensuring adherence to quality benchmarks and operational protocols. The trainee will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the seamless operation of the plant, focusing on quality assurance and control measures. The position involves conducting thorough inspections, identifying deviations, and implementing corrective actions to maintain product integrity. The DET will also contribute to the development and refinement of quality control procedures, enhancing overall process efficiency. By engaging in continuous learning and skill development, the trainee will gain valuable insights into industry standards and best practices. Principal Accountabilities

Support the safe and efficient operation of the plant by diligently monitoring process parameters and conducting routine field inspectionsbr Assist in the operation and maintenance of plant equipment to consistently achieve production and quality targetsbr Identify and report operational abnormalities promptly to facilitate timely corrective actionsbr Support preventive and breakdown maintenance activities to ensure the reliability and longevity of equipmentbr Coordinate effectively with production maintenance quality and utility teams to ensure smooth and uninterrupted plant operationsbr Maintain accurate and detailed operational records shift reports and inspection logs to support quality assurance processesbr Ensure strict compliance with safety health environmental and statutory requirements to uphold industry standardsbr Participate actively in troubleshooting process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiencybr Promote good housekeeping practices and adhere to standard operating procedures to maintain a safe and organized work environmentbr Continuously develop technical knowledge and skills through training and handson experience in plant operations contributing to personal and professional growth
