Assistant Vice President/Vice President - Sales - Debt Capital Markets

Role Overview :

We are looking for a seasoned professional to drive Debt Capital Markets (DCM) Sales and Distribution, with a strong focus on origination, investor coverage, and execution of debt transactions. The role will involve working closely with corporates, NBFCs, and financial sponsors to structure and place fixed-income instruments, while actively engaging with institutional investors.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Origination & Client Coverage :

• Drive origination of DCM mandates across corporates, NBFCs, and financial institutions.
• Build and manage senior-level relationships (CFOs, Treasurers, promoters)
• Identify opportunities for bond issuances, NCDs, structured credit, and refinancing

2. Deal Structuring & Execution :

• Collaborate with internal product teams to structure debt solutions (NCDs, bonds, structured credit, term loans)
• Lead end-to-end execution of transactions including term sheet negotiation, documentation, and closure
• Work closely with legal, compliance, and rating agencies

3. Investor Distribution & Coverage :

• Build and manage relationships with institutional investors (Mutual Funds, Insurance Companies, Banks, AIFs, NBFCs).
• Drive placement of debt instruments and ensure successful distribution of issuances
• Maintain active investor engagement and feedback loops

4. Market Intelligence & Advisory :

• Provide insights on interest rates, credit spreads, investor appetite, and market conditions
• Advise clients on optimal structuring, pricing, and timing of issuances
• Track regulatory developments impacting debt markets

5. Revenue & P&L Ownership :

• Own revenue generation targets across DCM transactions
• Drive cross-sell opportunities across structured finance and capital markets products

Required Skills & Qualifications :

• Strong understanding of fixed-income markets, credit products, and debt structuring
• Proven track record in DCM origination, sales, or corporate banking / IB roles
• Deep relationships across institutional investors and/or corporate treasuries
• Strong negotiation, client management, and deal-closing ability
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• High ownership mindset with ability to operate in a fast-paced, deal-driven environment
