Role Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned finance professional to join our manufacturing leadership team in West Bengal as the Plant Finance Head. In this pivotal role, you will serve as the financial conscience of manufacturing operations, overseeing the entire spectrum of plant accounting, cost control, and financial reporting. You will work closely with the Plant Head, regional leadership, and cross-functional department heads to drive operational efficiency and ensure that financial discipline is embedded into every stage of production. By providing actionable insights through robust MIS and rigorous internal controls, you will directly influence the plant's profitability, working capital health, and long-term strategic growth, ensuring we remain competitive in a dynamic manufacturing landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct the end-to-end financial operations of the plant, including manufacturing accounting and costing, to ensure accurate reflection of production costs and inventory valuation.
- Lead the annual budgeting and rolling forecasting processes, collaborating with operational heads to align financial targets with production capacity and market demand.
- Implement and monitor stringent internal control frameworks to mitigate operational risks and ensure 100% compliance with statutory and corporate governance standards.
- Manage working capital cycles by optimizing inventory levels and streamlining payables, thereby enhancing the overall liquidity position of the manufacturing unit.
- Drive the preparation of comprehensive MIS reports and financial dashboards, providing the leadership team with critical data to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Oversee internal and external audit processes, ensuring timely resolution of observations and maintaining high standards of financial integrity.
- Mentor and lead a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional development.
Required Skillset:

- Possess a Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification with 15 - 25 years of progressive experience in a large-scale manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrate deep expertise in cost accounting, financial planning, and the ability to translate complex financial data into strategic business narratives.
- Exhibit strong leadership capabilities, with a proven track record of managing diverse teams and influencing stakeholders across various levels of the organization.
- Maintain a high degree of proficiency in financial reporting standards and regulatory compliance, ensuring the plant remains audit-ready at all times.
- Showcase exceptional communication skills, enabling you to articulate financial performance and operational bottlenecks clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
