Job Description

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the operation theatre, ensuring all equipment and instruments are sterilized and functioning properly
  • Support the surgical team by setting up the operating room with necessary tools and supplies, ensuring compliance with standard protocols
  • Monitor and manage the surgical inventory, ensuring all materials are available and organized for efficient operation
  • Aid surgeons and nurses during procedures by passing instruments and handling specimens with precision and care
  • Maintain accurate documentation of procedures and equipment usage, ensuring all records are up-to-date
  • Implement infection control protocols to maintain a sterile environment and reduce the risk of contamination
  • Participate in the cleaning and restocking of the operation theatre post-procedure to prepare for the next surgeryRequired Qualifications
  • Diploma or certificate in Operation Theatre Technology or related field
  • Proven experience working in an operation theatre environment, preferably in a hospital setting
  • Strong knowledge of surgical instruments and sterilization procedures
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure a well-prepared surgical environment
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and adapt quickly to dynamic surgical settings
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with a multidisciplinary surgical team
  • Basic understanding of medical terminology and surgical proceduresWorkplace Culture
