Job Description
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Sales SME to drive advanced sales analytics, predictive modelling, and strategic planning initiatives. The ideal candidate will leverage ML models and data insights to improve sales performance, forecasting accuracy, and revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a domain expert for sales processes, strategies, and performance metrics
- Design and guide ML models for sales forecasting, pipeline analysis, churn prediction, and demand planning
- Collaborate with data science and engineering teams to translate business problems into analytical solutions
- Drive inventive and strategic planning initiatives using data-driven insights
- Define KPIs, dashboards, and performance frameworks for sales leadership
- Analyze large sales datasets to uncover trends, risks, and growth opportunities
- Support go-to-market strategies, pricing models, and territory planning
- Present insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders in a clear, business-focused manner
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to best practices in sales analytics
Required Skills & Experience
- 8-14 years of experience in Sales, Sales Strategy, or Revenue Analytics
- Strong domain expertise in B2B/B2C sales operations and planning
- Hands-on or conceptual expertise in ML modelling (forecasting, regression, classification, clustering)
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data-driven decision making
- Proficiency in Python / SQL / BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar)
- Experience working with cross-functional teams (Sales, Data Science, Product, Leadership)
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Good to Have
- Experience with advanced analytics platforms or cloud-based ML solutions
- Exposure to AI-driven sales optimization and predictive analytics
- Background in consulting or strategic advisory roles
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
